Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how PrimeAge Life (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your information in connection with your use of our mobile application and related care-record services (the “Services”). We act as a “Data Processor” on behalf of your family, who is the “Data Controller” for the caregiver and care-recipient information involved. Your use of our Services is subject to the agreement between your family and PrimeAge Life.
Information we collect
To provide our Services effectively, we collect the minimum information necessary. This data is collected with consent and is essential for the app’s functionality:
- Personal information: provided by your family or through sign-in to create and manage an account (e.g. name, email, relationship to the care recipient).
- Location information (visit check-in): a caregiver’s approximate location only at the moment a visit is checked in or out, for verification.
- Care records: medicine-support entries, agreed measurements, and everyday notes entered by the caregiver as part of the agreed care plan.
- File and storage information: temporary access to only the specific files a caregiver or family member explicitly selects for upload or download (e.g. reports or documents).
- Device information: hardware model and OS version, for troubleshooting and compatibility.
How we use your information
Our primary goal is to provide a seamless and trustworthy care-record experience. We use information strictly for the following purposes:
- Authentication: to securely verify identity when signing in.
- Core services: to provide the family view, visit check-in and record history.
- Feature enablement: to operate features such as location-based check-in and document uploads.
We do not use your data for advertising, unrelated user tracking, or any purpose other than providing the agreed care-record service to your family.
Use and storage of location data
Purpose of collection. We collect location data solely to enable and verify caregiver visit check-in and check-out.
What we collect and store. When a caregiver checks in or out, we collect and store their approximate location and the exact date and time of the action.
How we use stored data. This data serves as a record used to help confirm a visit took place at the expected time and to support the family’s review of the care plan.
User control. Location permission is required for the check-in feature. It can be disabled in device settings, but doing so will prevent that feature from working.
Device storage access (uploads & downloads)
The app interacts with device storage in a limited and secure way. When uploading a document, we use the platform’s standard secure file picker, and the app only gains access to the single file explicitly chosen. When downloading a document, we use standard APIs to save it to a common location such as the device’s Downloads folder.
Data sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We only share data in the following, contractually bound circumstances:
- Your family: as the Data Controller, the family member(s) named on the account have access to the records for review and follow-up.
- Service providers: trusted third parties for services such as cloud hosting, bound by strict data-protection agreements.
- Legal requirements: where required by law or a valid legal request from a public authority.
Your rights and choices
- Access & correction: contact the family account holder (the Data Controller), or us directly, to request access to or correction of personal data.
- Device permissions: manage the app’s Location and Storage permissions at any time through device settings.
- Account permissions: revoke any sign-in permissions granted at any time via your account settings.
Security, retention, and other policies
Data security. We employ industry-standard technical and organisational security measures, including encryption and strict access controls, to protect information.
Data retention. We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the service to your family and as required by law. When permissions are revoked, our access to that data ceases immediately.
Children’s policy. Our services are intended for adult family members and caregivers, and are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
